If you are a music school administrator and work with drum students and drum teachers, you will find Groovin' to the Music to be a powerful tool and resource. In addition to all the educational benefits derived from the main components of Groovin' to the Music's book and CD, there is another feature that should be of great interest and value to any music school. Our CD was designed to be used in recitals. Having the drums recorded on one track and all the music on the other allows either element to be panned out entirely or allows both to be played together at any relative mix in between. Drum Grooves Publications (DG) has attempted to address and accommodate many aspects of drum education we felt have been unintentionally neglected. As a result of this deficiency, drums have had the unfortunate reputation as being an inferior instrument. Many schools do not even teach drums since they do not enjoy a long history of formal knowledge and technical development as do other instruments. DG hopes to play a large role in raising the appreciation of drumming in the eyes of the music world. |
